Visualizing the impact of basic universal income in Denver

Purpose

The Denver Basic Income Project (DBIP) is a program providing unconditional cash transfers to unhoused people living in Denver. The aims of the program are to test the feasibility and impact of guaranteed income for unhoused people.

DBIP’s research was headed by the University of Denver’s Center for Housing and Homelessness Research (CHHR). Together, CHHR and Joyage Studio worked together to present their findings in an evaluation report, qualitative report and a printed promotional brief. It was very important that the research be presented in an approachable way while still being detailed enough for fellow researchers to analyze the presented data. It also was a requirement for the report to match the brand identity of DBIP.

data visualization for the masses

With such data-heavy documents it was very important for the information to be displayed in an engaging and easily understandable way. With our data visualization expert we recommended multiple design directions for the charts and figures used throughout the reports.

Great experience. So personable, flexible, heard our needs and met them. We did not know what we wanted or needed and Joyage was able to help us figure out the best solution to address our needs. Love our final product. Thank you!
