Fostering boldness in emerging artists
ST.ART Artist Programs is a nonprofit that invites teens to envision a sustainable future in the field of art + design. They do this through their summer art programs where students attend various classes to push their creativity and expand their portfolios as they prepare for their college and future professional art careers.
To attract teens, ST.ART Artist Programs wanted their brand identity to be colorful and have a trendier feeling without being childish or stereotypically “artsy”. They also wanted their brand identity to show the transformation that these students go through over the programs and the idea of each student establishing their own art career path.
A custom brand identity process means your logo and branding is created from scratch, starting with pencil and paper! An essential part of every brand and logo design project is the sketches phase – this is where I grab important key words from our discussions together and then explore how we might combine certain ideas to create unique-to-you visual representations of your brand story.
For ST.ART Artist Programs, we were working with words like: experimental, transformation, exciting, audacious, focused, smart, community, youthful and weird to inspire a flexible brand identity system.
